Ander McIntyre specializes in portrait photography of individuals who have had a significant influence on the modern world. Over sixteen years he has taken personal photographs of more than a hundred Presidents and Prime Ministers, the directors of a large number of organisations including the United Nations, CIA, FBI, MI6, MI5, GCHQ, Mossad, OPEC, Greenpeace, the World Bank, Amnesty, UNESCO, NATO, Stonewall, Lockheed Martin, Xerox, Black Lives Matter, Save The Children, the Commonwealth, WHO, the Federal Reserve, IAEA, UKAEA, IMF, Google, WWF, the Royal Society, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the Chief of UK Defence Staff, the Lord Chief Justice and many Nobel laureates, artists, politicians, writers and architects.
Recent portraits were of Dame Kate Bingham, Her Majesty the Queen, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Prince Harry.
He currently takes portraits at The Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, and has been portrait photographer at the Royal Academy, the French Embassy, and the Eccles Centre for American Studies at the British Library, where he is a Fellow.
Ander McIntyre has had one-man exhibitions at the Royal Academy, The British Library, Jesus College, Oxford, the Maison Française in Oxford and the French Embassy in London.

2017 saw a collection of portraits commissioned and exhibited by Jesus College, Oxford; and a portrait exhibited in the Bodleian Library, Oxford under the Vice-Chancellor’s Diversity and Equality Programme.
in 2018, Merton College, Oxford commissioned 20 portraits for permanent display in College.
In 2022, Ander became Photographer in Residence at Mansfield College, Oxford.

The Royal Institute of International Affairs celebrated its centenary in 2020 and as part of a major refurbishment, over two hundred of Ander’s portraits are permanently displayed on the walls.
Ander read English Language and Literature at Oxford, studied Renaissance English drama at the Shakespeare Institute and worked on the Complete Oxford English Dictionary for 23 years.
